As part of the International Investors’ Conference, potential investors attended the site visit.  This site visit provided the opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with directors of KEK Coal Production Division and Generation Division.

International Investors’ Conference started today bringing potential investors and interested parties to Prishtina.  Prime Minister of Kosovo Mr. Hashim Thaci stressed that development of new lignite generation capacities is crucial to securing a sustainable and speedy development of the energy sector in the Republic of Kosovo.

A one day workshop took place in the premises of the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM), in order to facilitate the preparation of the documentation package for the Request for Proposals for the New Kosovo Project.

LPTAP participated in the International Forum Kosovo – Energy Opportunity, an event organized by Konfindustria – Confederation of Industries in Albania and KEK – Kosovo Energy Corporation.  Event was held in Prishtina on 5 October 2009

Today in Prishtina, a presentation of hydro power-plant Zhur feasibility study was organized. Present in the meeting were the Prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, Minister of Energy and Mines, Ms. Justina Shiroka – Pula, other Government of Kosovo ministers, representatives of national and international organizations in Kosovo, as well as other parties of interest for developments of electro-energetic projects.
